This is 975 West K Street in Benicia, my home and office. This was a very plain one story house (with aluminum siding and fake 1970's paneling throughout) when my wife and I bought it in 1989.
Over several years I remodeled and reshaped it myself in three phases from front to back, adding a Great Room, a second floor Mastersuite, a fourth bedroom and a laundry/mud room, and including a two story height stairwell that brings much light to the center of the house.
This house and the numerous others I have personally taken apart and reassembled have been an excellent learning experience, far exceeding anything else I could have done to enable me to advise my clients.
